Jim Cusack awarded Irish Australian of the Year 2014

Congratulations to Jim Cusack who has been awarded Irish Australian of the Year 2014.

At the Awards ceremony, Mr Cusack was described as a caring person who helped many Irish people in Australia, from those of his father’s generation who came to help build major projects such as the Snowy Mountain scheme to new arrivals. Marion O’Hagan from the Irish Australian Support and Resource Bureau said, “Jim is a generous man who gives freely of his time, offering support and sharing his knowledge whenever and wherever required.” The Irish Australian of the Year was first awarded 30 years ago with nominations sought from a wide range of clubs and organisations within the Irish community.  Read more under “Members Achievements”
